Finance Operations & Grant Manager (m/f/d)

Your mission

As Finance Operations & Grant Manager, you will make our Finance organization scalable. You will combine process optimization, Finance systems and public-funding administration to ensure that our growing organization operates efficiently and transparently.
  • Take ownership of Finance processes and identify opportunities for standardization and automation
  • Support the implementation and continuous development of our ERP and Finance systems
  • Develop automated reporting and dashboards together with Accounting and Controlling
  • Improve data quality, master-data structures and interfaces between Finance and other departments
  • Document Finance processes, responsibilities and internal controls
  • Coordinate public grants and funding projects from a financial and administrative perspective
  • Prepare financial documentation, cost statements and evidence required by funding authorities
  • Monitor eligible costs, project budgets, deadlines and reporting requirements
  • Coordinate grant-related audits and communication with internal and external stakeholders
  • Support applications for new funding programmes where appropriate
  • Support R&D-related funding and tax-incentive processes such as Forschungszulage
  • Identify opportunities to digitalize and simplify repetitive Finance activities

Your profile

  • University degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Business Informatics or a comparable field
  • Professional experience in Finance Operations, Controlling, Finance systems, public funding or a related area
  • Strong affinity for processes, systems and automation
  • Experience administering public grants or publicly funded R&D projects is beneficial
  • Strong Excel skills and high data literacy
  • Ability to understand detailed administrative requirements while maintaining an overall process perspective
  • Structured, proactive and highly independent working style
  • Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate across multiple departments
  • Very good German and good English skills
